She also regularly performs with flutist Alice Jones as the duo conText, which presents 20th and 21st century music, and has commissioned works from Gregory W. Brown, Inés Thiebaut, and Eric Nathan.

Ms. Hubbell is pursuing a Doctorate of Musical Arts at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and is a faculty member at Smith College, MA.

“Her diction is crystal clear…The songs are interesting…the performances are good…Funderburk and the string players supply attentive and nicely nuanced accompaniment for the entire program.”
